The Kasasiro Boys will lock horns with AS Kigali in the second leg game of the First round at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende
Unlike before, KCCA will be home away from home because CAF restricted the club from using MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo for this edition’s CAF games.
The first leg of the game was canceled by CAF and AS Kigali handed a 2-0 advantage.
This was because KCCA FC could not field a team of 15 players after a good number had been affected by COVID 19.
13 times Uganda Premier League Champions KCCA FC will be hoping to bounce back and overturn the result from the first leg.
KCCA FC need at least three unanswered goals to qualify to the next round of this year’s CAF Confederation Cup.
The last time KCCA FC scored three unanswered goals in CAF competitions was in December 2018 against Tanzania’s Mtibwa Sugar FC at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo
According to head coach Mike Mutebi, they have enough in their armory to approach this game.
“We have enough in our Armory to win and qualify to the next level,” Mutebi said before adding.
“They got the advantage in the first leg after we could not field the required players for the game to take place but this is a different thing all together.”
“We want to win this one and get to the next level. But we must do it by playing our way, with belief and showing that we want it,” he added.
Skipper Charles Lukwago, Denis Iguma, Brian Aheebwa and Keziron Kizito returned to full training and are in contention to start the game after they missed out on the first leg.
