The National Unity Platform has shifted its manifesto launch from Friday to Saturday 7th November. This follows the death of senior political analyst, Sheikh Anas Kalisa, whose burial has been slated for Friday.
According to Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine, the move will enable him and other party members to participate in the funeral.
“In light of the untimely death of the senior leader, Sheikh Anas Kalisa, who will be buried this Friday in Ntungamo, we have postponed our manifesto launch to Saturday 7th November, to enable our senior leaders, including myself, to participate in the funeral,” Robert Kyagulanyi Said.
The NUP manifesto launch is scheduled to take place in Mbarara, Kakoba Division.
“We have accordingly notified the Electoral Commission and Uganda police,” Bobi Wine added.
