The National Unity Platform presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine has rallied the people of Koboko to vote for Ayume of the National Resistance Movement for Koboko municipality MP seat. Kyagulanyi is currently campaigning in West Nile region of Uganda.
While speaking to overwhelming crowds in Koboko, Kyagulanyi said; “I have studied and watched Dr Charles Ayume so much. I tell the people of Koboko to vote for him,”
“I have studied Mr Ayume for a long time and he inspires me. I know he will not say anything good about me but wherever he is, tell him that I support him,” Kyagulanyi added.
Ayume, who is son of the late Francis Ayume, the former Anthony General, defeated State Minister for investment and Privatization, Evelyn Anite in NRM primaries. Anite, who always boasted of her support in the district, later conceded the defeat.
As Kyagulanyi continued with his campaign trail, he tweeted; “Koboko! What can I say? The Main gate to Koboko is broken and wide open. The people are yearning for change. They say they have been betrayed enough and are ready to take a stand.”
